Anglers who are regulars on the west bank of the MacIntyre Pool of the River Ness will be sad to hear of the passing of Alastair Macdonald. A long-term member of Inverness Angling Club, Alistair (88) was nicknamed ‘The Ghost’ for his quiet manner and style of fishing, His dedication to the river and the club was such that he wrote and self-published a book on the fishings. The club sends its deepest condolences to his wife Anne and family.
