With the 2023 season coming to an end on October 15, Inverness Angling Club permit holders are reminded that — under Rule 5.4 of the Rules Regulating the River Ness Fishings and Scottish Government legislation — they are required to submit a fully completed, and signed, annual return of catches.

Returns should be made on the card attached to the permit or submitted online through the club’s web site, including NIL returns and fishing effort in days per month. They can also be placed in the returns boxes in the Little Isle Hut, Grahams tackle shop and at the whisky counter in the Holm Mills shop. They must be received no later than October 23. Failure to comply will incur an additional charge, currently £20, when renewing a permit in the subsequent year.
