Good numbers of fish are now being seen daily on the river this week and catches remain steady. There has been a slow lift of water the last day or so and this should improve catches. Anglers putting in the effort are being rewarded.
Liam Campbell decided to cast a line over the Macintyre with the garden fly, he was rewarded with a tide fresh grilse of around 5/6lb that gave a good bend in the rod - Very well-done Liam.
Further downstream Willie Clark increased his growing tally with a fresh fish also around the 5lb mark, he hooked his fish at the top of the top of the Little Isle pool on a Cascade fly, expertly netted by Davy Dyce. These catches follow on from the 2 earlier in the day from the Weir pool.
Tight Lines to everyone out on the river banks tomorrow.
